Casey Smith had the hot bat for the IronPigs, finishing 3-for-5 with a double and one run scored. Brennan King and Val Pascucci each drove in a run and Jason Jaramillo scored a run of his own. Brennan King went 1-for-4 with an RBI single. Jake Blalock got on base with a double and Andy Tracy also got on with a single, both players finished 1-for-5. Jason Anderson pitched two perfect innings in relief and Will Savage finished the game with two scoreless innings, giving up two hits and recording a strikeout.
Greg Golson drove in four runs, finishing 3-for-4 with a double, a homerun and two runs scored in a game that ended in a tie. Neil Sellers picked up two RBI and Jeremy Slayden knocked in a run and singled in a 1-for-4 effort. Carlos Leon finished 1-for-5 and scored twice as Javon Moran and Branden Florence each scored a run apiece. Lou Marson finished the game 1-for-4 with a single. The star on the mound was reliever R.J. Swindle who tossed two scoreless innings, he walked one and struck out two. The game marks the third straight game that the R-Phils have reached double-digits in the hits column, having reached that mark in four of their last five games.
Gus Milner led the team in runs, scoring twice in a 1-for-4 effort. Tuffy Gosewisch and Fidel Hernandez each scored a run and Quintin Berry finished 1-for-1 with a hit. Matt German threw two scoreless innings in relief, giving up no hits while walking one and striking out another. Julian Sampson pitched five innings, giving up three runs on six hits with two walks and two strikeouts.
Brad Lidge was in from big league camp to get some work and tossed one perfect inning, recording four strikeouts. Robert Roth came out of the 'pen to throw two scoreless innings, giving up just one hit and striking out two batters. Yen Lin threw just eight pitches in a perfect ninth inning. Jayson Werth, also in from big league camp, led the offense with two doubles an RBI and one run scored in two at-bats. Derrick Mitchell also drove in a run and scored once, finishing 1-for-3. Dominic Brown went 2-for-3 with a double and scored a run. Karl Bolt also scored once and D'Arby Myers drove in a run. |
