Phillies Minor Leaguer's are into their exhibition schedule.  Please keep in mind that players shift around a lot during the spring and the team a particular player is playing with on these reports is not a concrete indication where he might start the season.

Gookie Dawkins led the IronPigs to a tie with the Rays, going 2-for-3 with a homerun, two RBI and a run scored. Andy Thayer also chipped in with a solo homer in his only at bat and Joey Hammond, Mike Cervenak and Javon Moran all knocked in a run. Brandon Watson went a prefect 2-for-2 with a double, triple and a run scored. On the mound, Kevin Beirne got the start, tossing three innings of one run ball while recording a walk and three strikeouts. Pat Overholt went two and one-thirds innings in relief, giving up one run on two hits and striking out three. Ryan Cameron pitched a scoreless ninth, allowing just one hit.

Geoff Jenkins came down from big league camp to get some work in, going 1-for-4 with an RBI. Tim Kennelly knocked in the R-Phils only other run and five other players logged a hit each, including Alan Robbins who scored a run. Antonio Bastardo led the way on the mound, giving up no runs on four hits over three innings while recording a walk and three strikeouts. Cory Willey and Zac Stott each tossed two shutout innings in relief and Nate Johnson gave up one run on three hits over two innings.

Chance Chapman led the way in a pitcher's duel, going three innings while giving up no runs on four hits with a walk and two strikeouts. Daniel Brauer gave up the games only two runs on three hits over three innings. Joe Rocchio and Sam Walls combined to throw the final three innings without surrendering a run. The Threshers were unable to score any runs, but six different players picked up a hit each, highlighted by Herman Demmink's double.

The BlueClaws joined Lehigh Valley in the tie column on Monday, finishing with a nearly identical line score as the Rays. Drew Naylor got the start, surrendering one unearned run on two hits over three innings, he struck out four and walked one. Chris Kissock was the only Clearwater pitcher to not allow a run to score, tossing two shutout innings in relief while giving up no hits. Luis Arzeno led the offense, scoring two runs on two extra base hits (2B, 3B) and driving in a run. T.J. Warren also smacked an RBI triple and scored a run and Darin McDonald also scored and knocked in a run. Michael Durant and D'Arby Myers scored the team's other two runs.
