R-Phils Junior Associates

January - August

Ryan Bower (23) is currently a senior at Cedarville University in Ohio majoring in electronic media and audio production.  During his time at Cedarville he worked as a talk show host for the campus radio station and was a member of the Sports Management Organization.  He is originally from Mohrsville, Pa and has been attending R-Phils games practically his whole life.  Ryan's main interest is sports, especially baseball and college football.  His two favorite teams are the Boston Red Sox and Penn State (he bleeds blue and white).  Ryan's favorite athletes are Red Sox Pitcher Jonathan Papelbon and Penn State defensive lineman Maurice Evans.  Ryan plans to go into sports broadcasting after graduation, and one day dreams of being the voice of the Red Sox.  In his spare time, Ryan enjoys playing Guitar Hero and piloting tour boats on the Amazon River.
Gina Fatale (23) recently graduated from Immaculata University with a degree in Exercise Science, Sport Management.  She originates from the northeast area of Philly, but attended high school in the Phoenixville area school district.  Gina has a genuine fascination for the sports and entertainment industry and has previously worked for the Philadelphia 76ers as a marketing intern.  She is very excited about the 2008 R-Phils season and hopes to have a prosperous career with the team in the future.
Joel Leroy (23) is from Erie, Pa. This is not the first time he will be working in Minor League baseball. Joel was the batboy and then the Clubhouse manager for the Anaheim Angels AA organization all before he was able to drive. He originally attended Mercyhurst College to play baseball and study Sports Management and Criminal Justice. Transferred to California University of PA and will graduate this May with a Sports Management Degree. Joel is looking forward to being part of the Reading Phillies family as an intern. When this internship concludes, he would like to stay in baseball and work his way to becoming a General Manager.
Jon Muldowney (22) is a senior Leisure and Sports Studies major at Kutztown University planning to graduate in May.  While at Kutztown, Jon was a member of the Golden Bears football team as a defensive back.  A native of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, Jon attended Nativity B.V.M. High School where he was a captain of both the football and track & field teams.  He is passionate about the Philadelphia Phillies and most especially Notre Dame football.  Jon is excited for the 2008 Reading Phillies baseball season and the challenges that it will bring.
Lindsay Straub (21) is a senior at Kutztown University graduating in May 2008 with a degree of Leisure and Sports studies.  She is Philadelphia born and raised, so naturally a major Phillies and Eagles fan.  With loving mostly all sports, baseball being her favorite, therefore she is very excited to be a part of the 2008 Reading Phillies season.
