Two join R-Phils front office

Reading, PA – Reading Phillies General Manager Scott Hunsicker has announced that Matt Hoffmaster (Client Relationship Manager/Merchandise) and Adam Lanzendorfer (Client Relationship Manager) have accepted full-time positions on the front office staff. Both were interns with the club this past season.

Hoffmaster graduated from Slippery Rock University with a B.S. in Sport Management this year. He interned with the Reading Phillies during his sophomore, junior and senior years at Slippery Rock. In his position with the R-Phils, Hoffmaster has responsibilities in sponsorship sales, merchandising and working with youth baseball programs.

While pursuing his degree he worked security for Pittsburgh Steelers games, was an umpire for the PIAA and served as the event coordinator for a charity golf outing that raised over $5,000 to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina.

A 2003 graduate of Muhlenberg High School, Hoffmaster was born in Reading and resides in Muhlenberg Township.

Lanzendorfer graduated from Lock Haven University in 2006 with a B.S. in Sport Administration. With the R-Phils he’ll be involved in sponsorship sales, the Learning with Baseball school program and the team’s speakers bureau.

At Lock Haven he was an offensive lineman for the football team which competes at the Division II level. He earned all Pennsylvania Athletic Conference 2nd team honors in 2006.

Lanzendorfer was born in Altoona, PA and graduated from Central High School in Martinsburg in 2002. He currently resides in Mt. Penn.

Of the R-Phils 24 full-time employees, 17 were once interns with the team. Including Owner Craig Stein and President Chuck Domino, the team’s staff has a combined 222 seasons of experience working in Baseballtown (counting the coming season). Ten of the 24 full-time staff members have been with the team for at least 10 seasons.
