Two join R-Phils front office
Reading, PA – Reading Phillies General Manager Scott Hunsicker has
announced that Matt Hoffmaster (Client Relationship Manager/Merchandise)
and Adam Lanzendorfer (Client Relationship Manager) have accepted
full-time positions on the front office staff. Both were interns with the
club this past season.
Hoffmaster graduated from Slippery Rock University with a B.S. in Sport
Management this year. He interned with the Reading Phillies during his
sophomore, junior and senior years at Slippery Rock. In his position with
the R-Phils, Hoffmaster has responsibilities in sponsorship sales,
merchandising and working with youth baseball programs.
While pursuing his degree he worked security for Pittsburgh Steelers
games, was an umpire for the PIAA and served as the event coordinator for
a charity golf outing that raised over $5,000 to benefit victims of
Hurricane Katrina.
A 2003 graduate of Muhlenberg High School, Hoffmaster was born in Reading
and resides in Muhlenberg Township.
Lanzendorfer graduated from Lock Haven University in 2006 with a B.S. in
Sport Administration. With the R-Phils he’ll be involved in sponsorship
sales, the Learning with Baseball school program and the team’s speakers
bureau.
At Lock Haven he was an offensive lineman for the football team which
competes at the Division II level. He earned all Pennsylvania Athletic
Conference 2nd team honors in 2006.
Lanzendorfer was born in Altoona, PA and graduated from Central High
School in Martinsburg in 2002. He currently resides in Mt. Penn.
Of the R-Phils 24 full-time employees, 17 were once interns with the team.
Including Owner Craig Stein and President Chuck Domino, the team’s staff
has a combined 222 seasons of experience working in Baseballtown (counting
the coming season). Ten of the 24 full-time staff members have been with
the team for at least 10 seasons.
