Season ticket and mini-plan holders: Prep for playoffs and 2010

Season ticket and mini-plan holders have the opportunity to secure seats for the 2009 Eastern League Playoffs and the 2010 regular season at remaining R-Phils home games beginning August 4. There are tremendous incentives to take advantage of this early opportunity.

Eligible fans that purchase a playoff strip – a ticket to all possible home playoff games – guarantee the same level of seat they enjoyed during the regular season at the regular season price.

Purchasing playoff tickets in the form of a playoff strip will save you $2 per ticket, per game, and guarantee you the best seats before playoff tickets go on sale the general public on August 14.

The R-Phils are currently battling for the 2nd playoff spot in the Eastern League’s Southern Division. The top two teams make the playoffs. If first place Akron were to win the division and the R-Phils secured 2nd place the first round schedule would be:

Wed., Sept. 9 at Akron
Thurs., Sept. 10 at Akron
Fri., Sept. 11 at Reading (Fireworks)
Sat., Sept. 12 at Reading (Fireworks)*

Sun. Sept. 13 at Akron*

If the R-Phils overtake Akron and finish in first place home games would be on the 9th, 10th and 13th*.

If the R-Phils advance to the championship round the schedule would be:

Tues., Sept. 15 at Northern Division winner
Wed., Sept 16 at Northern Division winner
Thurs., Sept. 17 at Reading (Fireworks)
Fri., Sept., 18 at Reading (Fireworks)*
Sat., Sept. 19 at Reading (Fireworks)*

* If necessary

Full refunds will be given for any playoff games that do not occur.

Also at all remaining regular season home games, season ticket and mini-plan holders may renew their seats for the 2010 season at 2009 prices.

In addition to the savings, fans that renew for 2010 also get to choose from a fantastic assortment of gifts available only during this special early renewal period.

For each seat in their plan, fans will be able to choose from autographed baseballs from: Kyle Drabek (Futures Game participant), Vance Worley (EL All-Star), Neil Sellers (EL All-Star) and Quintin Berry (EL All-Star). There is a limit of one autographed ball of any one player per account. Or any of the following prizes: an R-Phils Star batting practice cap, a $5 R-Phils souvenir voucher, an R-Phils pint glass, a Jason Donald and Lou Marson double bobblehead or a raffle ticket for the “Ticket Renewal Grand Prize” to be drawn at the final home game.

The grand prize winner gets all of the following: 20 person pool picnic (good for the 2010 Season), 2009 R-Phils team autographed bat, Kyle Drabek autographed ball, Michael Taylor autographed ball, Dominick Brown autographed ball, Harry Kalas HOF autographed ball, Charlie Manuel autographed ball, Brad Lidge autographed ball, Raul Ibanez autographed ball.

Fans looking to take advantage of theses exciting opportunities should visit the ticket table, manned by Mike Becker, Director of Ticket Operations, inside the main entrance at FirstEnergy Stadium.
