President’s Day sale on tickets for home opener
Reading, PA -- The Reading Phillies are holding a one-day President’s Day sale on tickets for the team’s April 11 home opener on Monday, February 18.
Throughout Monday’s special offer, red and green reserved seats for the home opener, normally $8, are available for one Abraham Lincoln, $5. General admission tickets, normally $7 for adults and $5 for children and seniors, are available for two George Washingtons, $2. In addition, individual tickets to the Fairgrounds Square Mall All-You-Can-Eat Picnic Area will be available to individuals for one Andrew Jackson, $20.
Sale prices on tickets for April 11 are in effect online at readingphillies.com from 12:01 AM through 11:59 PM on February 18. Tickets for the home opener can also be purchased at the sale price on February 18 at FirstEnergy Stadium and by phone (610-375-8469) from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
Blue and yellow box seats are not on sale, nor are tickets to any other 2008 R-Phils game.
The home portion of the R-Phils 42nd season at FirstEnergy Stadium begins on Friday, April 11 with a 7:05 PM game vs. the Altoona Curve (Pirates). Gates to the Classic Café open at 5:00 PM for Happy Hour with live
music. The rest of the stadium gates open at 6:00 PM.
At the home
opener, the first 2,000 kids 14 and under will receive a bobblehead featuring back-to-back MVPs Jimmy Rollins and Ryan Howard, thanks to Pepsi. Rollins, a 1999 R-Phil, and Howard, a 2004 R-Phil, won the last two National League MVP awards, respectively.
In celebration of Opening Day, the R-Phils, thanks to White Star Travel Center and Rock Hits Y-102, are also giving away trips to Cancun, Las Vegas and Chicago.
In addition, the first 3,000 fans will receive a 2008 R-Phils magnet schedule thanks to AIG. There is also a pre-game team autograph session on the field and a poster giveaway for the first 2,500 adults 15 and older featuring the new R-Phils Dance Team.
Tickets for all 2008 regular season home games go on sale at regular prices online at readingphillies.com on Wednesday, February 20 and at the stadium on Wednesday, February 27.
