President’s Day sale on tickets for Opening Day
World Champions blanket is season’s first giveaway

Reading, PA -- The Reading Phillies are holding a one-day President’s Day sale on tickets for the team’s April 9 Opening Day on Monday, February 16. 

Throughout the sale, red and green reserved seats for the home opener, normally $9, are available for one Abraham Lincoln, $5. General admission tickets, normally $8 for adults and $6 for children and seniors, are available for two George Washingtons, $2. In addition, individual tickets to the Fairgrounds Square Mall All-You-Can-Eat Picnic Area, normally $22, will be available to individuals for three Lincolns, $15.

Sale prices on tickets for April 9 are in effect online at readingphillies.com from 12:01 AM through 11:59 PM on February 16. Tickets for the home opener can also be purchased at the sale price on February 16 at FirstEnergy Stadium and by phone (610-375-8469) from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. Online customers will have the ability to choose their specific seats directly from the web for the first time. Specific seat selection is a new feature.

Blue and yellow box seats for Opening Day are not yet on sale, nor are tickets to any other 2009 R-Phils game. 

The R-Phils 43rd season at FirstEnergy Stadium begins on Thursday, April 9 with a 7:05 PM game vs. the Harrisburg Senators (Nationals). Gates to the Classic Café open at 5:00 PM for Happy Hour with live music by the Ice Cap Ice Rink/Frank 107.5 FM Reading Phillies Mascot Band. The rest of the stadium gates open at 6:00 PM. 

On Opening Day the first 2,500 adults will receive a 50" x 60" Phillies World Champions fleece throw blanket. 

Tickets for all 2009 regular season home games go on sale at regular prices online at readingphillies.com on Thursday, February 19 and at the stadium on Monday, March 2.
