Frank 107.5 / Immix Wireless Mascot Band
The Reading Phillies Mascot Band offers up a truly unique musical experience. Just as the name implies, this group features full-fledged Reading Phillies Mascots actually playing and singing great music. The band members are Quack the Rubber Ducky on lead vocals and guitar, Bucky the Beaver on bass, Change-Up the Turtle on percussion, and Screwball bringing it all together on the drums – you really have to see it to believe it! The band’s musical repertoire usually includes some reggae and hip-hop mixed with hard driving rock-n-roll. The Reading Phillies Mascot Band came to be during the 2002 Reading Phillies season. Most of their shows occur at FirstEnergy Stadium but they've played other notable venues such as Veterans Stadium and Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. They've even been featured on the intro to ESPN's Emmy-winning SportsCenter. With all famous rock bands, controversy lurks around every corner. Legend has it that the band had the plug pulled on one of their own shows in 2006 after they tried to play following a Bob Dylan concert at FirstEnergy Stadium. The tale will go down as one of the funniest in Mascot Band history. Some people think there is some kind of trick to this band, but when you see them in person, you will realize that this is no smoke and mirrors show. It’s giant, lovable mascots playing and singing great tunes – and it’s fun! The music is surprisingly well presented and the mascots are hilarious. |
