Chris Mudd, athletic trainer

2008 is Chris Mudd’s fiftth season with the Phillies and first in Reading. He spent 2007 in Clearwater, 2006 in Lakewood, 2004-2005 in Batiavia

A 2000 graduate of Western Kentucky University (BS degree in exercise science) and a 2002 graduate of the University of Alabama (MA degree in sports medicine healthcare), Mudd has worked in the professional baseball ranks for the last eights years ,having worked with the Rangers, White Sox and Braves before joining the Phillies organization in 2004. 

Most recently, he established Diamond Performance, a sports medicine/baseball consultation company that provides injury prevention programs for both high school and collegiate athletes.

Mudd, 30, was born in Leitchfield, KY and resides in Elizabethtown, KY with his wife Carol.
