2008: Released by Detroit on 10/20/08... Signed by the Cubs as Minor League free agent on 12/5/08... Split season between Erie (AA) and Lakeland (Hi-A)... Reached career highs in appearances (47) and saves (7)... Posted a 2-2 record with Erie with a 3.30 ERA over 26 games... Began season with Lakeland, going 2-1 with a 2.80 ERA... Held Midwest League righthanders to a .173 batting average (26-150)...
